ABOUT THE TEACHER
Hello! It is a pleasure to be your childs teacher. I graduated from Douglass College and have been teaching for many years. I have three boys of my own.
It is my philosophy that children learn best in a supportive environment that provides challenges as children are ready. Multi-level lessons encourage each child to proceed at his own pace, building confidence and self-esteem. I love teaching Kindergarten and hope that my enthusiasm is reflected on these pages.
My hobbies include reading, visiting teacher websites, watching Star Trek, playing cards and gardening. In the summer our family enjoys vacationing in Cape May and going to Disney World. I also enjoy writing and have published various articles on teaching and autism.
You may be wondering why I chose the name Calico Cookie Kindergarten. It seems that when I went to choose a name everything I thought of was taken. Suddenly my eyes spied a bag of cookies on a calico tablecloth; and the rest is history.

If you have a question or comment for which you would like a prompt reply, please see me at drop off or pick up or send me a note in your childs backpack. You may also leave a message at the school office at 1-908-769-6083.
